The PriMO-5G project collaborated with H2020 EU 5G!Drones project to succesfully co-organise a virtual workshop on “Aerial Communications in 5G and Beyond Networks (AERCOMM)” on Monday 25th May 2020. The AERCOMM workshop was held in conjuction with IEEE WCNC 2020  and aimed to provide a venue for exchanging of latest developments on aerial communications (particularly UAVs or drones) and related challenges. To that end, in addressing these challenges the AERCOMM workshop put together an exciting program that included four keynote speeches, five accepted research paper presentations and a panel discussions. Among the highlights in the event where discussions on breakthroughs in energy sources for drones, scalability of terrestrial networks to support dense drone deployments and required developments to address regulatory requirements on drones.
