The goal of the PriMO-5G project is to demonstrate an end-to-end 5G system providing immersive video services for moving objects. As a result, millmetre wave (mmWave) beam management is required to have stable communication links. One of the objectives of project partner NI within the PriMO-5G project was to design a mmWave transceiver and to demonstrate mmWave Beam Management Prototyping using NI’s PXIe and USRP components. To that end, NI has released a that video gives an introduction to the topic and shares some insights from an experimental demo that involves a remotely controlled robot connected by a mmWave link.
