The coordinators of PriMO-5G project (Prof. S.-L. Kim and Prof. Riku Jäntti, of Yonsei University and Aalto University, respectively) chaired a workshop on 5G and Spectrum Sharing collocated with the IEEE International Symposium on Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks (DySPAN) 22-25 October 2018 in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

The 5G Spectrum workshop covered themes that are in common with the PriMO-5G project’s research objectives. Prof. Kim gave an opening presentation on “Opportunity-driven Spectrum Sharing: Theory & Practice” while Prof. Jäntti gave a closing presentation on “Application-Specific Operators: Serving Local Needs”. The workshop provided useful insights and ideas for organisation of similarly themed workshops by the PriMO-5G project in the future.
